Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 27, 2026 · Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains what information Navela collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and in plain language.

Who we are

Navela provides personal navigation support for families raising autistic children in the United States. Navela is operated by Arina Zarochintseva and Iuliia (Yulia) Gorbunova. Navela is not currently a separately registered company. You can reach us at support@navela.care.

This policy covers our website (navela.care), our request form, email, Zoom calls, and the navigation work we agree to do with families. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle health-related information.

Information we collect

When you request a free call. Our request form asks for your name, email address, and state, and for your consent to use this information for your request. You can also choose the topic you’d like help with and tell us how you heard about Navela. Please don’t include medical records, your child’s full name or date of birth, insurance member numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive documents in the form.

When we talk or email. We keep the emails you send us and the notes we need from our conversations. Calls take place on Zoom and are not recorded.

If you choose to work with us. For a Personal Navigation Plan or follow-up support, we may ask for information needed for the work we agree on. This can include information about your child’s needs, services and therapies, insurance coverage and decisions, benefits, school services, and documents you decide to share. Some of it may relate to health; our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how we handle it.

Technical information. When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Netlify) processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers. Our request form is a Google Form embedded on the page; when it loads or when you use it, Google processes information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies, under Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

How we use information

We ask only for information reasonably needed for these purposes. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We don’t send marketing emails right now. If we start a newsletter, we will send it only to people who sign up for it separately; requesting a call does not sign you up. We do not enter families’ personal information into AI tools, and we do not collect, use, or sell personal data to train large language models.

Who can access information

Within Navela, only the two founders have access to families’ information. We also use service providers that process information on our behalf to provide their services to us:

We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example to respond to valid legal process. We do not contact schools, insurers, agencies, or other professionals on your behalf, and we don’t send them your family’s information as part of our service.

Cookies, tracking, and “Do Not Track”

Our website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels, and we don’t track visitors over time or across other websites. Because we don’t do that kind of tracking, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.

Google may receive information when our embedded form or fonts load, as described above, under its own policies. Apart from that, we don’t allow third parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across websites through our site.

Where information is handled

Our founders work from Indonesia and access information from there. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. We use their standard security and account controls and limit access to the founders.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as we need it to respond to your request, provide services you agree to, meet legal obligations, and resolve reasonable disputes. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous. Requests to delete information are handled as described below.

Your choices and requests

You can email support@navela.care to ask what information we have about you or your child, to get a copy of it in a portable format, or to ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw consent you have given us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.

We may need to confirm your identity, and, if you are asking on behalf of someone else, your authority to act for them. For information about a child, we may ask you to confirm that you are the child’s parent, legal guardian, or another authorized representative. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If you disagree with our response, reply with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will review the decision and explain the outcome, including how to contact your state’s attorney general where that applies.

Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information. Our designated request address for requests under Nevada law is support@navela.care.

Children

Our website and request form are intended for adults, such as parents, guardians, and other authorized representatives. We don’t invite children to send us information directly. Parents may share information about their child so we can provide the service they ask for; we protect it as described in our policies. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for the information we handle, including limiting access to the founders and using account security features provided by our service providers. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure.

Notice for Texas residents

Information you share with us may be stored and transmitted electronically using the service providers listed above. We do not electronically disclose your family’s health information to anyone else without your authorization, except when the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and the last-updated date above. For important changes, we will post a notice on our website and, when we have your email address and an active conversation with you, let you know by email. We will ask for your consent before using information for a new purpose when the law requires it.
